How a Shield Chart is built
This page uses the Western geomancy Shield Chart: each figure has four rows, and each row contains either one point or two. Four randomly generated Mothers form the starting set. Pairwise combinations create four Daughters, then four Nieces, two Witnesses and a final Judge. The chart's later figures are derived from the earlier ones; they are not separate random draws.
In this implementation the question is displayed with the reading but does not change the generated Mothers. The Judge is described as the chart's dominant theme, not as a guaranteed outcome. The supporting and complicating prompts are modern reflection written for this site.
Reading without forcing certainty
First inspect the chart's structure, then read the Judge's keywords in relation to a specific, bounded question. Ask what evidence supports the interpretation and what evidence would challenge it. If the result feels too broad, make the question more concrete rather than casting repeatedly until a preferred answer appears.
Western geomancy is not feng shui. The Historical Library outlines the terminology and historical boundary used here; compare it with the I Ching only as a separate system.
